I was surprised that there wasn't already a stamp with this phrase on it. So I decided to make one myself. ENJOY!

Yeah, in America it's supposed to be the land of the free. But with the Patriot Act, Citizen's United, corruption, inflation, Obamacare, vaccines, police, and a countless myriad of other things, it gets harder to believe day by day.

I agree with this quote.:( (Sad)

Or neither could fear neither, and instead work together in harmonious co-existence. Such is the dream of the centre-right.

Don't get me wrong- that's like, my favourite movie!

But I'm not an anarchist, a socialist or anything like that. But I am anti-fascist.

Well, it's the natural inclination of any government to try to take as much power and control as it possibly can. And it's up to the people to hold the government down. Sure it'd be lovely if everything just worked out without needing to do anything, but real life just doesn't work that way.

 to me, it's no better trying to intimidate the government, than the government trying to intimidate it's people. Fear is never a good motivator in politics, and that applies to both the state and the civilians. Otherwise, anarchism becomes no better than fascism.

There's a difference between anarchy and letting the government know that if they overstep their bounds, there will be hell to pay. Fear is an EXCELLENT motivator in keeping the government in their place. They are supposed to SERVE the people, not control the people.

"They are supposed to SERVE the people, not control the people."

Erm, actually, it's kinda both, but you use the word "control", which I think it twisting it a bit. It's not about control, which violates freedom it's about order and deference.

Allow me to explain my Christian centre-right views- the greatest among you should be like the servant (Matthew 23:11-12 and Luke 22:25-26). I.e. the leader leads the people BY serving them. The job of the government is to promote morality and political harmony amongst people, so that order (fundamental to a working society) can be maintained. The government is a necessity, and The Bible tells us to yield to the human authorities, as a manifestation of submission to God's authority (Romans 13:1-7).

No, now you're twisting MY words. They DO control the people, but they are NOT supposed to. How can you say 'yes they are supposed to' and then accuse me of twisting anything?

It is my point exactly that they are to SERVE the people via upholding the constitution and laws, but what they are doing instead is grabbing as much control as they can everywhere they can, but they're not supposed to do that.

I don't think the Queen can do anything about the bill. They have a government too they don't go by monarchy anymore but they keep it a tradition.

we're still at war against the bills, and thanks to the people in Europe, the parliament is planning to pass or reject ACTA, due to a representative resigning the bill. so we may have a good chance at winning this and less bills to worry about until we bring out Operation: Black March next month and end this once and for all. oh and the gov is sneaking SOPA in by changing its name. idk what it is, but ik that those money grubbing geezers are getting desperate.
